Much of what we have learned about the real estate industry has come from our work with professional real estate firms. It is a given fact that prospective buyers and sellers are having problems when dealing with the real estate market; lack of communication between themselves and their agents.

The most recent migration in the real estate industry has been the move agents are making to hand-held devices such as Palm, Blackberry and others. National Association of REALTORS® has seen a 450% increase in hand-held devices purchases and a 75% increase in laptop computer purchases by real estate agents during the previous year.

We feel the most powerful trend in the industry turns out to be the most fundamental. The real estate industry is turning towards more of a client demand driven industry; the level of competition has enabled the client to demand more for less from the broker; the broker is making less on the old business model and is forced to evolve to a more industry functional model, all because of the client.

These are the underlying factors driving the trend in the real estate industry. It is apparent that the industry is migrating to a more remote and wireless solution for business; a solution that will ultimately guarantee the client more complete and efficient services.
